Important note: These notes are given as an indicative procedure, this is not an Avid documentation and steps may differ depending on your version of MediaCentral Cloud UX. For any operation in Avid MediaCentral Cloud UX, we recommend that our customers coordinate with their internal experts or with Avid teams.

To deploy IN2IT apps in MediaCentral Cloud UX, execute the following steps. Please contact our support team or Avid to get the latest version of Cloud UX apps.

Installation of the apps

The following example applies to IN2IT exchange (exchange.zip):

Connect to MediaCentral Cloud UX server using SSH.

1.            Copy the app zip package on the server (example: in /root/)

2.            Execute the following command: avidctl feature-pack import /root/exchange.zip

3.            When the command is executed, get the name and version from the command result:

                Feature: <APP_NAME> Version: <VERSION>

                Example: Feature: exchange Version: 2021.01.1

4.            Execute the following command, replacing version and name with values you got on previous command result:

avidctl feature install --feature avid-releases/<APP_NAME> --version=<VERSION> --name <APP_NAME>

Example : avidctl feature install --feature avid-releases/exchange --version=2021.01.1 --name exchange

You can execute the same commands with IN2IT exchange app, adjusting the app name and version number.

Uninstall IN2IT app

Execute the following command:

helm delete APP_NAME

Configuration of the apps

One the apps are deployed, you need to configure the IN2IT exchange back-end settings.

In Google Chrome, open the IN2IT exchange login page (usually https://address_of_exchange_server:4443 or  https://address_of_exchange_server). If a certificate warning is displayed, validate it.

Note: we strongly recommend to use a vaild certificate for IN2IT exchange server if you are planning to use Cloud UX apps.

In the same browser, navigate to MediaCentral Cloud UX admin settings (usually https://address_of_cloudux/admin).

In the configuration settings, navigate to access and exchange settings and enter IN2IT exchange backend details.

The Avid PAM connector ID can be found in the connectors configuration of IN2IT exchange, on the top right of the window.
